The last night dive of 2017 at Capernwray.
A small band of keen night divers attended Capernwray on the 1st November for their final late opening of 2017. Capers was absolutely packed! 500 Open Water Swimmers (all wearing glowsticks) and lots of spectators who came to see the fireworks. We had a couple of great dives in the dark, which gives you a whole new view of Capernwray, with sleeping Trout, Perch and Roach as well as an appearance from the big sturgeon and the baby white Sturgeon as well. The whole place was aglow – like some kind of watery rave..! Underwater navigation skills were also tested with some murky dark conditions but all three buddy pairs had a good dive and returned safely to the car park to enjoy a burger and the fireworks. Altogether a fun night out!
