Shell Island – Early May Bank Holiday 2018

A merry band of ECSAC’ers camped on Shell Island on our reserved field and enjoyed the great weather and some interesting diving.

The weather (as usual on my trips) was superb and we enjoyed a great BBQ on the Saturday night and sitting around the campfire each evening.

       

Everybody enjoyed themselves and we will hopefully run another trip there sometime soon.

Viz on the planned Bronze Bell Wreck was too bad to do any photography or video (or see the wreck for that matter) so we did a few dives around Shell Island and then did the 10 nm crossing to St Tudwalls Island to say hello to Bear Grylls and dive on the Timbo, viz was much better over there and we also saw lots of seals on the surface as well as some bay boaters running their flash motor yacht aground on the reef next to the Timbo! (sadly no photos of that).
