Trip Report – Whithorn

Trip Report by Clive Byrne.

Hi, Whithorn was a great success for those who eventually went! Seven out of twelve. I liased closely with Chris at Newton Stuart BSAC club. It looked like diving on the boats was off due to weather conditions. However their was a slight chance of some shore diving. So accommodation booked we headed off to the Isle of whithorn.

By the time we arrived the weather looked promising for Saturday morning and so Newton Stuart Club used their rhib, with Chris as Cox we went diving close in shore. Two wrecks and a scenic dive.

In the evening we had a meal in the Steam Packet Inn on the harbour front where we had the opportunity to thank Chris and Newton Stuart Club for their hospitality.

Sunday morning we had a lazy get up and a huge Scottish breakfast before setting off home. We all had a lovely weekend and hopefully we can repeat it again or perhaps invite Chris and his Club over to taste a bit if Anglesey diving next year?

Finally on behalf of JWC tours I would like to thank all our customers for supporting our dives this year and hopefully we will see you all signing up for next year. Remember we are fully inclusive and all grades are welcome to join in the fun. Thankyou.
