Rhoscolyn, Anglesey: 20-21 April 2013

image004Phil Darlington organised a trip in the new club boat ‘Top Cat’ to dive Carreg Allen, to the east of Dulas Island on the eastern side of Anglesey.  We launched the boats from Traeth Bychan beach and the diving was good, with visibility about 4-5m (although the boat launch on the very soft sand was a challenge).  The highlights of the trip was when a young seal came to play with a pair of our divers as they surfaced and on the way back in, we passed about 100 seals of all ages lying on the rocks on Dulas Island. The water was a chilly 7c but the conditions were better than expected.

image002Unfortunately the weather on Sunday was too bad with strong winds and rain from the south west so we headed home early. Thanks to Phil for organising.
