Please note that at the moment we are reviewing our trips on a case by case basis as more information from the Government comes in regarding Covid-19 and the lock-down.  If you are already on one of our trips, the trip organiser will contact you should anything change.

Upcoming Events

Belfast Lough - Friday 28th - Monday 31st May 2021

Phil Darlington and Pat Spencer are running a club trip to dive the wrecks and scenic sites in Belfast Lough.

We will be using DV Divers who are based in Bangor Marina. They have a hard boat, Madness, with lift, loo, galley and plenty of deck space for kitting up. Two dives per day. Nitrox available.

The plan is to catch the overnight ferry from Birkenhead on Thursday evening (docking Belfast Friday 6.30am) dive Friday 28th –Monday 31st inclusive and return on the Belfast to Birkenhead overnight ferry on Monday evening (docking Birkenhead Tuesday 6.30am). 

Diving costs £60 per person per day (this will reduce if we can charter the whole boat)

Deposit for diving is £120.

Divers will need to book their own Ferry and Accomodation

Minimum qualification: Experienced Sports Diver, happy with swell and able to deploy a DSMB confidently

St Kilda/Outliers - 19th - 26th June 2021

An opportunity, weather permitting, to dive one of the most iconic Scottish islands.  St Kilda is an isolated archipelago situated 40 miles west-northwest of the North Uist in the North Atlantic Ocean.  It contains the westernmost islands of the Outer Hebridies of Scotland.  The largest island is Hirta, whose sea cliffs are the highest in the UK.

We will be on a live aboard with skipper Bob Anderson.  Pick up and drop off is Uig on the Isle of Skye.  The trip is full catered, 2 dives per day with air included, nitrox is available and helium on request.  Dive lift, on board compressor, warm cabin, 3 meals per day and bed provided.  Crew on deck to help with kitting up.

Cost for the charter is £834pp, deposit is £208.50

Minimum qualification: Experienced Sports Diver, happy with swell and able to deploy DSMB comfortably.

Arranmore North West Donegal 18th - 25th September 2021

We are running a club trip to Arranmore North West Donegal using Dive Arranmore Charters.  Diving is a mixture of wrecks, walls, reefs and caves.  6 days diving with 2 dives per day.  Modern boat with lots of space, on board toilet, lift and cabin.

We plan to use the overnight Liverpool – Belfast ferry on the outward journey and the evening ferry from Dublin to Holyhead on the return.  When booking make sure to meet the local Burtonport to Arranmore ferry times

Costs:   Diving approximately 360 EURO + air fills.  Accommodation – Arranmore Island Holiday Village self catering accommodation approximately 160 EURO.  Additional costs – Ferry and food

Minimum qualification: Experienced Sports Diver, happy with swell and able to deploy a DSMB confidently

Farne Islands - 29th - 31st October 2021

Ian Hollingsworth is leading this years annual trip to the Farne Islands.  We will be diving with Andrew at Sovereign Diving on a great boat kitted out with a lift, ample room for kitting up, toilet and a hot cup of tea between dives.  A fun trip for all qualifications and a chance to play with Farne Island grey seals (or sea puppies as some members affectionately call them).

We’ll be arriving on the Friday evening and diving 2 dives per day on the Saturday and Sunday.

ECSAC Summer BBQ - 4th - 5th July 2020 - POSTPONED TO 2021

The club is returning to Anglesey for another weekend of diving, snorkelling, socialising and eating! 

The diving will be organised by Helen Hamer and Jon Green, whilst the snorkelling will be organised by Dave Grindrod.

The Social committee have booked the BBQ to take place on Saturday 4th July in the Anglesey Outdoors Party Yurt.  This will be £10 per person for the BBQ food which includes dessert. Scrummy!

We have reserved the Ty Penn Annex at Anglesey Outdoors which sleeps a maximum of 10.  This will cost £36 per person for the two nights (Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of July).
Should you wish to book your own accommodation there are a few options left at Anglesey Outdoors which can be found here, or you may look elsewhere.

Last year this proved to be a great event with many coming along even just for the day.
