Back in 2015 the club sat down and worked out a strategic plan that we would follow in the coming years.  Its primary aims were to address a decline in membership and to re-invigorate the club and move it forward.<\/p>\n

Part of this was to work out a plan to lift the club, generate new members and deliver a number of interesting projects.  A byproduct of this was that we were able to apply for the Heinke Trophy<\/a>, BSAC’s Premier Branch Award<\/a>, on the back of the activities we undertook in 2015 we won the Trophy in 2016.<\/p>\n

The plan gets reviewed every year and progress against it is reported to the members at the AGM.<\/p>\n

It’s not just a plan you need – most of all you need enthusiastic and engaged members who are able to deliver on the plan.  That said the plan really helps to focus people’s energies and ensures that everyone is pulling in the same direction.   If your club would like some help in producing a strategic plan then I would be happy to help.  Please get in touch – Kevin Phillips – 07896 625215 or kevinjp@btinternet.com <\/a><\/p>\n
