ECSAC go the extra mile<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A huge congratulations to Alison, Helen, Steve and Vesta on their Mayday Mile challenges for the RNLI.\u00a0 As many of you will know the club has now missed two trips to the Menai Run which always raises some much needed funs for such a worthy cause.\u00a0 This spurred the team on to try and raise as much as they could.<\/p>

In total they have walked and ran over\u00a0220<\/strong>\u00a0miles and raised a staggering\u00a0\u00a31,512<\/strong>\u00a0between them.<\/p>

Alison not only walked for the RNLI, but her dog Quincy walked for the Guide Dogs and they managed an impressive 95 miles throughout May!<\/p>

Steve braved all weathers, including hail to make sure he could finish his 20 mile run<\/p>

Helen clocked a very impressive 50miles (including 1 mile of ascent), with her last run totalling 22km!<\/p>

Vesta donned the dive kit and chose the warmest day of the year (so far) to climb up to White Nancy, completing a 14.88km walk.<\/p>

On Sunday 26th April, the 40th London Marathon was set to raise millions of pounds for charities.\u00a0 As lockdown continued and Coronavirus caused mass gathering events to be cancelled, the UK\u2019s mass participation event industry came together to create the 2.6 Challenge to save the UK\u2019s charities.<\/p>

ECSAC teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and a number of our members went bonkers to try and raise as much as they could.<\/p>
