Tourism officials have transformed the century-old wrecks in the Dardenelles Strait into an underwater museum. The ships sank in 1915 during conflict in World War I.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 Some of the wrecks have been heavily salvaged.<\/p><p>The trip includes transfers from Istanbul to Eceabat, transfers to and from the dive boat, full board (lunch on the boat). We plan to get 10 dives in over the week.<\/p><p>The hotel details are here:\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"about:blank\">https:\/\/www.tjshotel.com\/<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 Single rooms are available for an additional fee<\/p><p>The boat has 6 aluminium twin sets of aluminium, 6x 15 litre steel, and \u00a081x 12 litre steel cylinders. You need to have the equivalent of a gold level in buoyancy and trim, and be recognised as competent in releasing DSMB\u2019s mid water, potentially in current. (Some wrecks do have a lot of current running on them, so this is not a trip for the inexperienced).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Flights<\/strong>: You need to book your own flights.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Air flights are direct from Manchester to Istanbul, currently via Pegasus Airlines.\u00a0\u00a0We will be met at the airport by TJ&#8217;s Tour Agency and driven to the hotel in Eceabat (3.5 hours drive).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"qowt-stl-yiv9686246712msonospacing x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><strong><span id=\"E301\" class=\"qowt-font4-Calibri\">Cost:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>The trip cost is 1640\u20ac per head for 6+ divers, reducing to 1350\u20ac for 12+ divers.<\/p><p><span id=\"E308\" class=\"qowt-font4-Calibri\">A 35% deposit is needed to book a place.<\/span><\/p><p>Price includes accommodation, meals, airport pick up and there are the occasional trips out to the surrounding area post diving listed in the details below. The ancient city of Troy is not too far away so we can visit that on the rest day before we fly home.<\/p><p>With more then 10 divers the boat is all ours, we can accept up to 20 divers.
