Everyone got to the harbour in good time and got on the boat with all kit by the desired 8.30am ropes off time, we just had to wait for the parking meter to kick in before we left, by which time the sun was already peeking through.<\/p><p class=\"yiv3880853191mcePastedContent yiv3880853191last-child\">Diving on Anenome Gully did not disappoint, plenty of small cone and juvenile lions mane jellyfish on descent and we all had nice long dives with plenty of life and especially some huge anemones, having diving guillemots whilst on safety stops provided some lovely viewing. After a pleasant surface interval we then moved to Killiedraughts Bay for our second just as long dives with lots of marine life spotted and photographed. A return back to harbour and we were all dekitted, cylinders loaded into Danny&#8217;s van for refills and back at the caravan by 2pm giving us plenty of time to get showered and walk into the village for a few beers or ice cream before getting ready to go out that evening at The New Inn in Coldingham, a lovely jovial atmosphere as we were all seated together and a fab meal.<\/p><h3>Sunday the 29th of June<\/h3><p class=\"yiv3880853191mcePastedContent yiv3880853191last-child\">On Sunday it was a more relaxed feel although we were again all ready at the harbour in good time for ropes off and we all again got kitted up, cylinders on and parking paid for. A lovely calm day with less wind and more sunshine we headed out to follow the coastline up towards St Abbs but we turned round as the sea got a little choppier and dived at Hairy Ness instead.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-1347830\" data-id=\"1347830\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-62331f8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"62331f8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"589\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ecsac.org.uk\/updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mail.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-13867\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ecsac.org.uk\/updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mail.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/www.ecsac.org.uk\/updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mail-300x221.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.ecsac.org.uk\/updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mail-768x565.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2734aa8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2734aa8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"yiv3880853191mcePastedContent yiv3880853191last-child\">We had lovely longish dives in 15m depth exploring the seabed, boulders and were not disappointed with the amount of sea life. After a welcome cuppa on surface interval whilst changing cylinders and getting ready, we moved down the coastline a little for our second dive. Similar dive depths again and enjoyable slight drift ensured we all had plenty to chat about once back on board to return to harbour. Boat unloaded, kit all brought off the boat efficiently and the skipper commended us all on how practiced and proficient we all were over the weekend. Having the caravans for another night for some of our troupe to enjoy ensured we could all be showered and packed before departing for the journey back, a welcome extra.<\/p><p
