Menai RHIB Diving: 22nd - 23rd April 2023
Using Dinas Boat Yard as our launching site, the plan is to conduct two days of diving around the entrances to the Menai Strait. As we are only one day off spring tides, we are unlikely to be diving within the Menai itself. Rather, we will head to either end depending upon the prevailing weather. Likely dive sites will include Puffin Island (past Beaumaris) and Pilot’s Cove (past Caernarfon).
Minimum Qualification: Ocean Diver
The passage to both these sites will provide plenty of opportunity for Boat Handlers and aspiring Coxes to gain experience at the helm. If you are interested in being involved in the passage on either day, please indicate this desire in the Notes column on the sign-up form at the Club.
This trip is confirmed to run with one boat. Anyone signing up to boat #2 will be waitlisted until an additional towing driver, cox and boat handler sign up. Priority will be given to these roles.
