Membership Options
What Your Membership Includes
ECSAC is a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC). BSAC is our governing body. They are a non-profit organisation that provides the governance and structure for how we as a club conduct our diving, snorkelling, and training activities safely. To join ECSAC you must be a member of both BSAC and ECSAC.
Your membership is payable in two parts:
- BSAC Membership. Payable annually. This provides you with worldwide third-party liability insurance. You also get a monthly magazine, plus other member benefits and access to regional training events.
- ECSAC Membership. Payable annually or monthly. The cost gives you full use of our facilities and Macclesfield Leisure Centre pool on Thursday evenings.
Membership Benefits
We have our own purpose built club house in Macclesfield, boat room, two boats, a compressor with gas blending facilities, training kit and fully licensed bar. Air-fills are free, and gas blends are provided at cost. If you are a regular diver, your monthly membership fees essentially pay for themselves with our free air-fills.

- Free pool use for fitness and SCUBA diving, Thursday evenings (term time) 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM
- Free air-fills, Thursday evenings
- Cost price gas blends, Thursday evenings
- Clubhouse use with large function room and bar
- Clubhouse hire for private events
- Informative lectures and educational events throughout the year
- Attend and invite guests to ECSAC social events

Annual BSAC Membership: £74.00
Annual ECSAC Membership: £160.00
Total Annual Membership Fees: £234.00
NOTE: We provide training equipment to help those new to diving complete the Ocean Diver course (buoyancy compensator, regulators, fins, mask, and cylinder). We do NOT provide a dry suit or wetsuit. You will be expected to acquire your own equipment over the duration of the course. Your instructor and other Club members will be happy to provide advice. This ensures that at the conclusion of your training, you can fully participate in club diving trips. A new suit can cost between £500 and £2,000. New diver equipment packages cost around £1,000.
Evidence of enrolment in full-time education may be requested if over 18.
