Scapa Flow and The Orkney Isles: 26th October - 2nd November 2024
Pat and Phil are running a trip to The Orkneys to dive the classic wrecks in Scapa Flow, plus the wrecks and scenic sites around the Churchill Barriers and beyond if the weather is favourable.
We will be liveaboard with skipper Bob Anderson on The Clasina—-spacious deck, and storage, under cover kitting up area, dive lift, on board compressor, warm cabin, twin bunk rooms, 3 shower rooms, 3 meals per day, bedding provided. Crew on deck to help with kitting up etc. https://www.clasina.co.uk/
The trip is fully catered except for a couple of evening pub meals. 2 dives per day, air included. Nitrox is available. Helium on request.
Pick up and drop off Stromness.
Ferry: Scrabster to Stromness.
We leave cars on the mainland and use dive containers to take kit onto the ferry and off onto The Clasina.
Qualification: You need to be an experienced Sports Diver (with depth progression before October 2024), happy in swell, current and DSMB deployment.
Costs: £185 per diving day. £1110 in total.
Deposit to secure your place 25% –£275. Balance due July 2024.
Once you have paid your deposit you are committed to finding a replacement or paying the full amount if you cannot go. Insurance is a good idea.
Extra costs: return ferry from Scrabster. Car parking for the week. 2 evening meals. Nitrox.
