Awards Evening - 24th February 2024
The 63rd Awards Evening was held at Macclesfield Golf Club this year and it was a really excellent venue with good food and great service. The dress code was “Dress to Impress” and the club members certainly did that!
Following a welcome from the Chairman, Tim Porter, we enjoyed a delicious 3-course dinner. Tim then introduced the award presentations. Ken presented certificates to those who had completed training in 2023/24 and then presented the Ocean Diver of 2023 award. Clive presented the Diver of the Year award and Jo presented certificates to the Club Member of the Year nominees and then awarded the trophy to the overall winner.

Andy was awarded a special award and Honorary Social Membership in recognition of his continued work for the club behind the bar and as scenery -maker extraordinaire!
Following the awards presentations, the raffle was drawn. We had some fabulous prizes and thanks goes to Aqualogistics, Peli Products and Macclesfield Golf Club for their generous donations and to club members for donating other prizes. The proceeds of the raffle go to the Club funds. Thanks to all members (and friends) who bought raffle tickets.
After the raffle, we took to the dance floor and danced to music provided by DJ Tim Lane until the lights went out.
It was a wonderful evening and thanks goes to Alison for the organisation and to the staff at Macclesfield Golf Club. Thanks also to Naomi, Loz & Alison for taking photographs.
