Anglesey Dive / Snorkel / BBQ weekend : 19th - 21st July 2024
Join us on Anglesey on the weekend of the 19th – 21st of July for two days of diving, snorkelling and social fun. And a fantastic summer BBQ, of course!
Dave and Clemmie will tow a boat and will be planning the boat diving for the weekend. Dive sites will be selected according to the prevailing conditions and qualifications of participants, launching from slip(s) local to our accommodation.
We would like this weekend to be suitable for all, including new divers, snorkelers, and families. We have two night’s bunkhouse accommodation reserved at the Holyhead Sea Cadets, Holyhead (on a “first come” basis) from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July.
We will hold a BBQ on the evening of Saturday 20th July at the Sea Cadets and all Club members and their families are welcome to join us. So, if you’re not able to make the weekend for the diving or snorkelling, come along and join us for food on Saturday evening!
Our weekend will coincide with the Great Shark Snapshot project, organised by the Shark Trust. The Great Shark Snapshot is a community science project taking place all around the world from the 20th to the 28th of July to record all shark, ray, and skate sightings. Any shark sightings we report from our weekend will contribute to helping to build a picture of species distribution around the world and track population changes.
