Shetland Live Aboard: 24th - 29th August 2025
Pat and Phil are running a trip to Shetland to dive a mixture of scenic sites and wrecks. This is some of the best diving in the UK in a stunning, remote location. The viz is excellent and the marine life abundant and diverse. The dives are in the 28m -45m range.
We will be liveaboard with skipper Bob Anderson on The Clasina—-spacious deck, and storage, under cover kitting up area, dive lift, on board compressor, warm cabin, twin bunk rooms, 3 shower rooms, 3 meals per day, bedding provided. The trip is fully catered except for the Friday evening when we eat on the overnight ferry to Aberdeen, 6 days diving, 2 dives per day, air included. Nitrox is available. Helium on request.
Pick up and drop off point, Lerwick. Ferry overnight from Aberdeen to Lerwick on Saturday 23rd August 2025. We leave cars on the mainland and use dive containers to take kit onto and off the ferry. We taxi the kit to the Clasina. Return is the overnight ferry on Friday 29th August 2025.
Qualification: Dive Leader: you must be confident with depth, current and swell and be proficient with DSMB deployment.
Cost: £15,000 to charter the boat = £1250pp. (We receive a 10% discount if we fill all 12 spaces) Deposit to secure your place 25% = £312.50pp.
Balance due July 2025
Once you have paid your deposit you are committed to finding a replacement or paying the full amount if you cannot go. Insurance is a good idea.
Extra costs:
- return overnight ferry plus a cabin and meal from Aberdeen/Lerwick.
- Car parking for the week.
- Taxi to and from Lerwick harbour to Shetland ferry terminal.
- Nitrox.
