Bridlington Dive Weekend: 15th-17th August 2025

Pat and Phil are running a Club RHIB trip launching from Hornsea to dive wrecks in the 30-38m region.

The majority of dive sites are 10 – 15 miles from the launch site, however the tides this weekend will allow an attempt on the far wrecks Light Vessel LV83 or MS Pilsudski, which are around 35 miles from the launch site, a two and a half hour motor each way, should sea conditions allow. There are no dive sites closer than 10 miles from the launch site.

Qualification: Dive Leaders or above who have completed thier depth progression to 40m, confident with DSMB deployment and can dive confidently and conservatively a considerable distance offshore.
Given the adventurous nature of the diving in Bridlington Bay, we could be 2 hours from any assistance reaching us, the emphasis will be on conservative diving.

The trip is limited to 6 places as boat weight is an important factor, given the distances we need to travel.

Some of the wreck sites are unconfirmed marks however this is the 6th trip we have made to the area so we are confident about slack water windows and site locations.

Journey time to the dive site and tide will limit us to a single dive each day, with early starts to catch the tide.

Costs for the tow fees, boat fuel and tractor launch are expected to be about £80-£90 per diver for the weekend.  If we don’t make it out to the far wrecks the boat fuel costs will reduce.

Accommodation: The Lobster Pot, Marsden Inn Hotel , Bridlington is £112.50 per person for the weekend. The rooms are twin share, arrive Friday night, depart Sunday morning.
