The Social Committee organised a race night for the Club. This is a friendly, informal, club-oriented event that combines the excitement of horse racing with a relaxed social atmosphere.  Club members watch and ‘bet’ on pre-recorded horse races shown on a big screen. No one knew the winners in advance, ensuring the night was fair and exciting.  Lovely food was provided for us all by Janice and her sister, Trina. Our MC for the evening was Anna and the bookies were Will, Nikki, Sue and Alison. Thanks to Clive and Tim for keeping everyone supplied with drinks at the bar and thanks to Andy for designing the race cards.

We enjoyed eight races, with the horses were auctioned for the last race. The “owners” then watched the final race with bated breath to see which winning owner would take the owners pot. Doug was that lucky owner and won £100, which he generously donated to the Club.
