Hyperbaric Chamber visit, lecture & dry dive - 18th April 2026
On Saturday 18 April, members from clubs across the Nothwest Region including ECSAC, Hartford SAC, Chorley SAC and Solway SAC attended the Emergency Services Training Centre in Birkenhead. We were given a really informative, interesting and entertaining lecture on hyperbaric medicine and the unit and facilities they have.
Dave and the team made us all really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. An interesting narcosis test to carry out when in the chamber at depth, lots of laughs and giggling with fellow divers especially all having high-pitched voices. A great morning visit and highly recommend all divers to go at least once. Many thank to Steve Welton for organising this event, it was great meeting divers from other local clubs too.
