Try Dives
If you are interested in joining ECSAC and learning how to dive, but are not sure whether it is for you, then why not join us for a Try Dive. This is your chance to sample SCUBA diving in the safe environment of Macclesfield Leisure Centre pool. We will give you a taster in the pool for 45 minutes and loan you all the gear you need.
You will be guided by one of our wonderful qualified club divers who will introduce you to how SCUBA equipment works and let you have a swim around underwater to see whether you like it and would like to learn more.
Cost: £20
Priory Ln, Macclesfield SK10 4AF
Dates/Times: Thursday evenings (term time), 7:45 – 8:45 PM
Advance booking required.
Try Dives are only conducted on Thursday evenings. Alternative days/times are not available. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. Payment is required a minimum of 8 days in advance to secure your booking.
ECSAC is a volunteer run club and relies upon it’s members to freely donate their own time to run your Try Dive experience. Whilst we will strive to meet an agreed date for a Try Dive, we can not guarantee it.
In order to take part in a Try Dive, you will be required to complete a Medical Form that will be reviewed in advance of your experience. This will be shared with you prior to making payment.
All SCUBA equipment necessary for your Try Dive is provided by ECSAC. All you need to bring is:
- A swimming costume
- A towel
- A t-shirt you are happy to get wet is also advised (it makes the equipment more comfortable to wear)
Submit an enquiry on the Contact Us page for more information and to book your try-dive!
Give the Gift of Diving
Looking for something a little different to give for that special birthday, mother’s day, father’s day, etc.? Why not give the gift of a Try Dive. You can buy a voucher from us, that can be redeemed against a Try Dive. Once the Try Dive is complete the participant will be able to have a tour of ECSAC and a free drink at the bar. We will organise everything through you so that the participant is none the wiser until they arrive at the pool.
