We had our club Christmas Party on Thursday 21st December.     Happy Christmas to all Some photos last year’s party are below:

NAS ran an event 1-3 December at Capernwray for the NW Region. Starting with a Recorder day (foundation) followed the Surveyor Course.  The course was run by Ian Cundy, one of their main trainers. The Recorder day is required before the Surveyor Course. This is gives you access to their more exciting courses like photogrammetry

RNLI Talk – 26th October Maurice Littlewood visited us on the 26th October and gave us a great talk on the history and the work of the RNLI.  We had nearly 50 people in the club to watch the talk and the talk went down a storm (if you will excuse the pun)! Paul also

On Wednesday 8th November 2017 Ian France came to the club to introduce some of his favorite cave and mine diving locations around the world in a talk at East Cheshire Sub Aqua Club. We ran a gas blender course to run through how to use our booster pump and O2 and He bank as well as covering the BSAC SDC for Nitrox and Mixed Gas Blender on 26th November.  You will receive a copy of the SDC Course Pack and a qualification card upon completion of the course.

Our Highball Project got a bumper feature in Scuba Magazine, with one of the largest features ever printed in the Magazine (8 pages). A photo from the expedition was also featured on the front cover. You can read the full article here.  Click the relevant thumbnail below to read the page.

We had a fantastic night of fun, laughter and dancing at our 2017 Barn Dance when we were entertained by the Flying Corradinos. You can check out some of the photos of the evening below. We held two Highball Presentation evenings at ECSAC clubhouse on the 16th and 30th August from 7:30pm. Attendee’s had the opportunity to see one of the Highball Bombs and hear about the history of the bombs and the story of the expedition to recover them.
