We had a fantastic night of fun, laughter and dancing at our 2017 Barn Dance when we were entertained by the Flying Corradinos. You can check out some of the photos of the evening below. We held two Highball Presentation evenings at ECSAC clubhouse on the 16th and 30th August from 7:30pm. Attendee’s had the opportunity to see one of the Highball Bombs and hear about the history of the bombs and the story of the expedition to recover them. BSAC and GUE are working more closely together and we invited James Sanderson to come and visit the club and give us some background of the GUE approach. Global Underwater Explorers are an American based agency who’s associated projects are responsible for conducting some of the world’s most remarkable dives, their head of organisation still holds

ECSAC were approached by Potteries BSAC to do a collaborative dive up in the lakes.  This was a drift dive in the River Leven (it runs out of the south end of Lake Windermere near Newby Bridge). The River Leven is a short river in the county of Cumbria, falling within the historic boundaries of

BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell joined East Cheshire Sub Aqua Club for a try dive and a short report on Scuba in the UK.  It is went on air on 10th December 2016.  

What a great event! We had a fantastic night with the club dressed amazingly from the foyer being turned into Captain Nemo’s Nautilus Submarine and the main room bedecked with shoals of fish, sharks, jellyfish and an amazing array of sea animals – including Bert the Octopus on the bar, he is the only part
