ECSAC ‘Splash-In’ Photographic Dive weekend – Anglesey: 20-21 July 2013

P1010752

After an early start to beat the crowds to the car park on the hottest day of the year so far both boats were launched for a dive on the Chasms. The bright sun and good visibility made for excellent diving with Edible & Spider Crab, Lobster, Octopus, Sea Squirts, Nudibranch and much more being spotted. After a morning of snorkelling the snorkel section enjoyed a boat trip seal spotting on the Beacons and a tour of the Chasms before the scuba section had a second dive on the Beacons. Saturday night was spent feasting on a communal BBQ and telling tall tales around a fire. Another early start on an equally warm and sunny Sunday saw another dive on the Beacons with another seal spotting boat trip to the Beacons and a visit to the Arches for the snorkelers. The final dive was a visit to the wreck of Segontium out in Caernarfon Bay. The flat calm sea, bright blue skies, 15m vis, abundance of life and the shot landing in the middle of the desk made a superb end to the weekend. Thanks to everyone who came.
