We dived with Lochaline Boat Charters but stayed on Mull at Salen Pier House, a rather luxurious detached house with its own pier about 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal at Craignure. Walking 50 metres from the house to the pier to be picked up between 9 and 10 am each morning gave each day a nice leisurely start.
The Sound of Mull, as always delivered on all fronts. Wrecks and walls plastered with life, great visibility, and outstanding colour. The bonus for us was watching a pair of sea eagles guarding their nest, otters each evening in front of the house and porpoises at the side of the boat.
A thoroughly enjoyable week diving with good buddies.
