Diving for All – Diving with Disabilities

At ECSAC we have a number of qualified Diving for All instructors which means we can deliver tailored training for people with disabilities.

We have worked with the Cheshire Centre for Independent Living who have funding via the Get Yourself Active programme (funded by Sport England) so there may be some support available if you are interested in taking up Scuba Diving.

Feel free to get in touch with us at East Cheshire Sub Aqua Club for more details of what we can provide.

More information on the Get Yourself Active Cheshire Project.

The project is Sport England funded but managed nationally by Disability Rights UK. The overall aim is to make the sport and leisure sector more accessible for disabled people. The project is coming to the end of its second of three years of funding. In both Cheshire East and Cheshire West we have referrals from social care, doctors, disability support networks, carers/parents and self referrals. They have also worked with a number of day centres and disability support networks to provide in house activities for people that attend their services.
