Calling all ECSAC members both old and new! With the growing number of amateur photographers amongst us (and those not so amateur) I feel it’s about time for us to relaunch the annual photography competition!
This year’s competition runs from 01/10/2018 – 30/09/2019 meaning that you can enter a photograph from a previous club trip as long as it was taken on or after the 1st October 2018. The deadline for this year’s submissions is 30/09/2019. You can send entries to ECSAC.photography@gmail.com

Rules:
1. Photos must be from club trips unless you are entering into the “Overseas” category.
2. You are allowed one submission per category
3. Photos need a name and a date of capture
Categories are as follows:
“I’m a wreck” – Wrecks and nothing but!
“Creatures of the deep” – Fish, eels, crustaceans, seals.. is it alive and not a plant?
“Seabed in bloom” – Scenic photography
“Landlubber” – Don’t dive? Not a problem, here’s your chance to enter!
“Make em laugh” – the funny picture, can be below or above the waves.
“Buddies” – Say cheese buddies!
“It’s only a technicality” – For the more experienced photographers among us, this is where we can get extra technical (Macro etc)
“Overseas” – An underwater shot from a non club trip
“Jaws” – The movie round! We’ll look at editing, sound and camera stability. No more than 4 minutes in length.

Please send entries with the following information
1. Your name and diving qualification if applicable.
2. Category
3. Title of photograph
4. Date taken
Once entries are submitted a panel of judges will select the top 3 from each category. These will then go on display at the club from 17/10/2019 and an email will also be sent. Club members will vote on their favourite pictures and the photograph with the most votes in each category will win. Winners will be announced on 31/10/2019.
Winners from the categories will then be entered into the overall final for club members to vote on which will be announced on 7/11/19.
