East Cheshire ran a trip to the South Coast chartering two boats for a series of late season dives.  bringing divers from both Cheshire and Richmond near London. Although late in the season we were very lucky with excellent weather and the best UK viz we had seen for two years. We used Discovery Divers

Our second trip of 2013 in July was focused around Rhoscolyn. We camped at Mike and Alex’s favourite campsite at Pentre Iago Farm where we have stayed several times in the past.  Pam, Peter, Aiden, Tara and Fergus joined us on the Friday night for supper and hot chocolate after pitching up for the night.

After an early start to beat the crowds to the car park on the hottest day of the year so far both boats were launched for a dive on the Chasms. The bright sun and good visibility made for excellent diving with Edible & Spider Crab, Lobster, Octopus, Sea Squirts, Nudibranch and much more being spotted.

Our first trip of 2013 in early June was focused in the Lake District as we were originally intending to dive at Birks Bridge. However, following further study of some of the wild swimming publications we decided on planning a dive to Peel Island in Coniston water (aka Wild cat island from Swallows and Amazons).

Fifteen intrepid ECSAC divers ventured out on a beautifully sunny Bank Holiday weekend to dive around Anglesey with the objective of diving some of the less dived wrecks.  Sadly we found out why they are less dived as the wind picked up to Force 4/5 (occasionally 6) and we were unable to get far enough offshore
